CLEANSERS -Regular cleansing (2x daily) is necessary to keep our pores clean from everyday oil production, pollution, sweat, and cosmetic residues that sit on our skin’s surface. Skin Medica cleansers are pH balanced for a gentle, yet effective cleanse.

TONERS -Toning is an important skin care step that is often overlooked. Toners remove any residue that is left behind by cleansers and restores the skin back to its normal pH. They also contract pores, giving the skin a more flawless appearance, and can contain antiseptic or exfoliating properties.

EXFOLIANTS -There are two forms of exfoliants — physical and chemical.
Skin Medica’s physical exfoliant uses ultra-fine jojoba spheres to gently lift dead cells from the skin without over-exfoliating, which can lead to sensitive, irritated skin. This should be done 2-3x weekly after cleansing. In addition to giving the skin an overall smoother texture and radiance, exfoliating dead cells allows your serums and moisturizers to penetrate deeper and increase their efficacy.
Chemical exfoliants should ONLY be used at night because they can potentially make your skin more sensitive, and therefore direct sunlight is not recommended post-application. These retinols contain three forms of vitamin A, which improve the appearance of wrinkles and sun damaged skin, while stimulating collagen production.

SERUMS -Serums can target any skin condition, but most are meant for anti- aging. Serums are great for all ages, and it is never too early to start preventative care. Skin Medica’s serums are loaded with antioxidants and peptides to protect the skin against environmental assaults, such as free radicals, pollution, and UV radiation.

MOISTURIZERS -Dry skin is common and results from numerous reasons, including low oil production, over-cleansing, and weather conditions. Even oily skin needs a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer, which can help prevent excess oil production. Most moisturizers also contain antioxidants, acne fighting ingredients, and SPF.
