James T. Lutz, MD is a Cincinnati native. He is a proud graduate of St. Xavier High School and the University of Cincinnati, where he earned bachelors degrees in both Biology and Spanish. Dr. Lutz graduated from Wright State Medical School and completed a family practice residency at Bethesda Hospital in Cincinnati and a fellowship in occupational medicine at the University of Cincinnati. He also completed the course in Whiplash and Brain Injury Traumatology presented by the Spine Research Institute of San Diego. He is board certified in occupational medicine.
As the medical director of Bethesda Hospital’s Weight Control for Life Program, Dr. Lutz witnessed first-hand the difficulty patients had in maintaining their weight loss – after some initial success, many patients eventually regained the weight. It became Dr. Lutz’s mission to find a safe method of weight loss that had continued patient success long after the program’s completion. With the development of the innovative UniqueU Medical Weight Loss and Wellness program, Dr. Lutz achieved his mission and now looks forward to helping people reach their weight loss goals in a safe, sustainable manner.
Daniel L. Buchanan, DC
Daniel L. Buchanan, DC was raised on Cincinnati’s West Side, graduating from Elder High School and Northern Kentucky University with a bachelors of Arts in Psychology. Dr. Buchanan graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1999. He is a licensed chiropractic physician in Ohio, an associate member of the American Society of of Bariatric Physicians, and has been in private practice for 10 years. Dr. Buchanan is married and lives Mason. He and Dr. Lutz are now practicing in the Cincinnati area.
